Welcome to my personal blog, The DataKrash. Named after an incident in the Cyberpunk tabletop RPG.
I’m currently pursuing and learning as much about Cybersecurity and the like as I can because it seems that a life-long obsession with this stuff made me more employable than I assumed. Turns out obsessively picking things apart for fun is actually a marketable skill.
The purpose of this blog is basically taking a cue from Jack Rhysider of DarknetDiaries, one of the most well-known cybersecurity podcasts. He recommended people make a blog as a forward facing notebook. So that’s what this is, a public facing notebook of everything I’m learning in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Social Engineering, etc. Experiments I’m running, my essays for HacktheBox, anything I learned that I thought was interesting and want to remember later.
I may also do light political commentary, quantum physics explorations, or even weird estoreric discussions since I find these topics interesting and probing them from the mindset of an attacker, poking holes in every argument I can, is an interesting intellectual challenge and I’m kind of a weird dude.
There will be lots of swearing in this blog! I’m capable of being professional but my normal linguistics involve a lot of me filling space with; “fuck”, “fucking”, “shit”, “goddamn”, “cock and balls”, etc. I can make a sailor blush when I’m just talking casually…
